Not Quite An Angel: Kerry's Story
Kerry is the daughter of two wonderful friends of mine, George & Mau. They have a caravan just across from ours. They are retired now but Kerry loved to be down at the caravan and it has special memories for them. Kerry's 'story', although Kerry isn't autistic, touched my heart and I feel everyone should have the opportunity to 'get to know Kerry' through the pain and suffering both Kerry, and the family, went through. Oftimes, their suffering could have been avoided, if only the people 'in charge' had listened. This story could be anyone's story, but not everyone would have the stamina and courage that both Kerry and her family demonstrated on a daily basis. This is one family's story that no-one should ever have to go through.
I commend this book to you.... and trust that you will respect and value the emotions, dreams, pain, injustice, human rights and all that it brings to mind, especially the love and devotion of what it means to be 'a family'.
