Who are we?
In the last few months parents have been invited to get involved in
initial discussions around setting up a forum for parents of disabled
children. Following a number of meetings led by Together for Disabled
Children, the newly formed committee for Family Voice Surrey met for
the first time in March 2011. In the parents own words; "Family Voice
Surrey is the local forum for parents and carers of children with SEN
and disabilities in Surrey, and is part of the National Network of
Parent Carer Forums."
What are we doing?
The committee meet regularly to discuss issues of concern and to seek
engagement with those who provide services in Surrey to children with
disabilities. We have already established an internet based discussion
forum - open to any parent who has a children with special educational
needs or a disability.
